WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT FROM PEOPLE THAT VISIT OUR WEBSITE?
Like many other Web sites, Nuts and Walnuts makes use of log files. These files merely log visitors to the site – usually a standard procedure for hosting companies and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. This information is used to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.
WHEN DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION?
Data described in the previous paragraph is collected when you enter our website. Also, when subscribing to our newsletter and/or opting for free content, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address or other details to help you with your experience.
Furthermore, when you leave a comment on our website, besides your valid email address and name, you can enter a link to your website or other social media page or profile to your preference, that will be visible to other blog visitors. Your email address will not be visible to other visitors, only to blog administrators.
HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?
These informations are used for administrating the website, analyzing the trends and spam/inappropriate caution actions. We may use the information we collect from you when you sign up for our newsletter to send periodic emails or opt for a free content, in which case you’ll be notified that by receiving that free content and giving your name and email address, you agree to get on our subscribers lists and that you can opt to unsubscribe anytime. You won’t be receiving any emails from us if you didn’t give your consent to receive them and/or subscribed to our newsletters.
HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION?
Nuts and Walnuts will never ask you to enter your personal data such as physical address, phone number, date of birth, any kind of racial, ethical or similar information about you and your personal preferences, credit card number, social security number and any other numbers and data that can lead to you personally. Our website does not support log in option either.
We do not sell, transfer nor trade data that are automatically collected through your website visiting, subscribing to our newsletter and/or opting to free content and possibly leaving comments with data linking to your website or social media profiles/pages (as described previously) to any other party other party. However, some of the data will be visible to third-party services as described in the next paragraph.
We do not sell or trade your Personally Identifiable Information to outside parties. However, we use these third-party service providers that are authorised to use your data as follows:
MAILCHIMP – for you to subscribe to our newsletter, for delivery of those newsletters and website updates. MailChimp will collect your email address, your name (surname if you opt to), your IP address and data about whether you have opened the email, clicked on links in the email, bounced, forwarded or unsubscribed from our newsletter.
GOOGLE ANALYTICS – collects the following data about sessions, users, location, page views, bounce rate, organic search, time on page, page load time, referrers, traffic, technology and session duration in given time.
THIRD-PARTY PRIVACY POLICIES
You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser settings. Since each browser is a little different, look at your browser’s Help Menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies.
We believe it is important to provide added protection for children online. We encourage parents and guardians to spend time online with their children to observe, participate in and/or monitor and guide their online activity. Nuts and Walnuts does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian believes that Nuts and Walnuts has in its database the personally-identifiable information of a child under the age of 13, please contact us immediately (using the contact in the first paragraph) and we will use our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
NUTS AND WALNUTS’ NEWSLETTER POLICY
You can get on our subscriber’s list by opting voluntary with subscribing to our newsletter and/or upon opting for free content. In any given case, you will be notified that by leaving your name and email address you will get subscribed to our newsletter and that you can unsubscribe at any time. On the bottom of each newsletter, there is an unsubscribe button you can opt to any time. If in any case, you do get something from us that you didn’t opt for, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll sort it out quickly.
If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, you can email us at email@example.com and we will promptly remove you from ALL correspondence. Furthermore, you can ask for your data to be also removed (erased) permanently from our data base.
